Energy mission to Istanbul and Eastern Mediterranean Region of Turkey, 17-23 October 2011
Between 17-23 October 2011, Turkije Instituut (www.turkije-instituut.nl) will be organizing a trade delegation to Istanbul and various provinces in the Eastern Mediterranean Region of Turkey with a strong focus on the energy sector. The mission program entails site visits, matchmaking appointments and meetings with the local organizations in the cities of Mersin, Adana as well as Gazi Antep; which has been serving as a trade gate to the neighboring countries in the Middle East. The delegation will also visit Ceyhan Port, an important energy hub for Turkey, Caucasus and Middle East. The region is offering chances not only in energy, horticulture, logistics and construction branches in particular but also cross border trade opportunities with Syria and Iraq.
The trade delegation will conclude its visit by participating to Renex Renewable Energy Fair and Conference (http://www.hmsf.com/renex/eng/index.asp) held in Istanbul. A seminar on Dutch Solar Energy and collaboration chances with Turkey will take place as a part of the conference on 21 October, Friday.
